The course that I am creating is based on engaging students in active learning reflection. One of our building goals this year is to engage our students in their learning reflection process and we are being evaluated on this practice during our summative evaluations at the end of the school year. I am hoping that my LMS may actually be used to help my colleagues use a new way of learning reflection with their students. We use a 3 Track Supervision cycle and are evaluated using the Danielson Framework and we have to provide evidence that we engaged our students in active learning reflections in our classrooms as part of our end-of-year evaluation.
Throughout the year, certain teachers will be allowed to lead professional development opportunities for our colleagues in student learning reflection, which is why I chose this as the topic of my LMS. I hope to share my course at one of our upcoming professional development meetings. Teachers are allowed to choose which type of learning reflection model they want to try using in their classroom and then they go to the workshop based on their choice. Currently, my LMS course is asynchronous, but we could easily go over some of the material in a workshop together and the rest could be done between meetings.
Questions:
How would I find the time to meet with my colleagues if they had questions?
Would there be a way to build this time into another professional development day?
Would the MTSS coach be able to assist us with feedback on the strategy that I am sharing?
