Part 1:  After reading Gordon’s article about the Experiential Learning Cycle I believe that it will be important to create an asynchronous learning experience that is engaging, effective, and applicable to what my peer is trying to accomplish in their classroom with students.  I would have to include information about the Triple E framework and the ISTE standards, as this is not something that is currently used in our district.  I hope to include some interactive activities using short articles, videos, and online peer discussions.  Learning reflection will also play a key role in my course, as that is what the course is based in.  Feedback will be an integral part of the process as well.

Part 2:  By using the Cognitive Coaching approach, I could help guide my peers to think critically about tech integration in order to help them learn how to make informed, effective decisions.  During the planning stage of our coaching sessions we could discuss how tech can enhance student engagement, learning, and their connection to the real world as well as how their tech use meets the ISTE standards of being an authentic learning experience designer and a facilitator of personalized learning.  If I were to observe a lesson, I could focus on how the teacher is using tech to engage students in their learning as well as how their integration aligns with the ISTE standards.  During the reflection process we could discuss how student learning was enhanced and engaging using the tech tools that were introduced.  We could also discuss which ISTE standards were addressed during the lesson as well as what adjustments could be made to improve upon the use of technology in the future.

Part 3:  During this process I addressed the Visionary Planner, Empowering Leader, and Connected Learner ISTE standards for Educational Leaders.  I feel that it is important to help other teachers learn how to use technology in new ways with their students in hopes to create more engaging learning environments.  By being open to having a two way conversation without judgment and with lots of reflection, I believe that this goal can be achieved.
